Before you even think about college you need a plan.
You have several options to learn about careers that match your interests. The Lewiston Public Library provides a link now to Galenet which is very user-friendly and provides a wealth of information on careers and education.

The federal government offers its own program on careers: O*Net. To complete a survey that matches your interests to possible careers, go to the federal government’s O*Net and download two programs: the Computerized Interest Profiler and the Work Importance Profiler. You will be prompted to register with O*Net before you can download.
If you are not sure what skills you already have, go to the Skills Profiler to find out. Once you know your skills, go to the O*Net Skills Search
If you are at all interested in a career in the health field, definitely visit My Health Career, a Maine website. You will need to create an account (free) but this will give you everything you want to know about specific health careers in Maine and what schools offer that program.
