Yoga

All humans want to be successful. All humans want to be happy. These universal desires are achievable yet seem out of reach for many. I see a huge problem with the culture in United States Of America. Success and happiness are desired yet not encouraged in ways that are achievable. If the mind and body are cared for properly, stress and disease can be avoided. Our culture today moves fast. The human species is not adapted to modern lifestyles. Our bodies were built to run and hunt, our minds were made to focus and survive. Though, now we spend more time stationary in our bodies and distracting the mind. Stress is so common among Americans, specifically in teenagers and young adults. The youth is truly wasted on the young in this country.I've learned in my studies this year that stress literally deteriorates the brain. Relieving stress is essential for human survival. In a culture that breeds competition and ambition, the meditative practice of Yoga is essential because it relives stress and builds focus along with healing your body, and providing a stable environment that generates positive mentality.

How we treat the mind and body
