My first company, OPI has uses a little bit of both marketing techniques. The company does aim to inform people about their product whether they know about the product or not. OPI is high quality nail polish brand and grabs the attention from consumers that use their product by creating nail polish collections with other companies. For example, they teamed up with Coca Cola and created nail colors inspired by the different sodas made by the company. They also team up with celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and the Kardashians. They make their products relatable to the everyday consumer by featuring consumers that use their product.

The company has a strong presence on Instagram. Posting many times a day promoting new collections due to release in the upcoming months as well as current promotions, which is their Fifty Shades of Grey collection. To get the consumer involved, they encourage Instagram users to use their hashtags in hopes that they will be featured on their page. Some of their posts also encourage users to comment on which color they prefer. As well as featuring celebrities wearing their product they feature everyday ordinary people using their product. This shows consumers that you can have the same high quality product that celebrities use.

OPI also has a huge presence on Facebook. They are also posting numerous times daily on the social media site. Just like Instagram, they are promoting upcoming and current collections. They post the same pictures that are on their Instagram account, and they also have short videos on how to create nail designs using their products. They do not seem to interact with users through commenting, just through their featured posts.

Twitter is also another form of social media that they use. They post a few times a day, however not as often as they would compared to their presence in Instagram. They promote their product and...
